Poppit

Short of time tonight so a quick summary:
Out of Martins Haven into nice conditions though the tedious 2-4ft swell was still there. Saw 3 porpoises minutes after starting out.
Ramsey Sound came and went nicely, tide helped more than hoped for so pushed on.
Had to scratch up the cliffs after St David's Head until a lunch stop at pretty Porth Gain as I waited for the tide.
Pub lunch - leek and potato (I think), thanks for asking. Then a snooze in the sun, until it became too hot!
Had a chat with an interesting couple (sorry didn't get your names) who knew of Anglesey, paddling and even Nigel Dennis!
Also met 2 ladies who had escaped the Big Smoke for a change of scenery in West Wales - nice to meet you.
Back on the water and used the eddy to Strumble Head to catch the tide to Cemaes Head.
Paddled into Poppit to be met by Huw in his shiny Taran! Followed by a pleasant brew and chat.
Unfortunately Joy couldn't make it and Geoff left to Bratislava yesterday with the Welsh Slalom Team - I rue the weather days in Bude but c'est la vie.
Tonight I am in the palatial surroundings of the Forster family caravan on the side of the beach at Poppit Sands, perfect.

Big decision needed for tomorrow, to dodge yet more weather, not sure what I have left.
