The Adventure

It has been an Adventure.

A...

...Taran boat pushing, Legend paddle pulling, heavy boat hauling, constant headwind slogging, big wave dodging, pleasant people meeting, Wayfayrer meal eating, decent campsite hunting, gravel beach scraping, GPS button pushing, map case wrestling, junk food scoffing, weather god cursing, dodgy beer drinking, Ortlieb bag packing, drink pipe sucking, range boat avoiding, cliff bottom scratching, soft sand despairing, Trangia stove cooking, foggy beach finding, the same old question answering, daily hatch packing, pretentious soup slurping, carefree costs incurring, Hotel Vango residing, soggy clothes sleeping, super Synmat loving, 'why Withernsea' wondering, private toilet stop finding, every mile scrounging, too much kit carrying, finger blister avoiding, 'give me a break' muttering, nightly map mutilating, friends and family missing, sneaky surf squeezing, nasty clapotis loathing, Kokatat cag wearing, daily diary writing, red and white boat paddling, decent pie and chips not finding...

... adventure.

Do I regret doing it?

Not one bit.

Is there anything I will miss?

Every damned minute of it, probably for a long time to come...

Except the swell

and perhaps, the memories of Withernsea...

Wish I could have done more for you at Withernsea John, but take comfort in knowing that one day the grotty place will be washed into the sea, and the speed those cliffs are crumbling it shouldn't be all that long ;-).
