The circumnavigation of the UK by sea kayak is a serious undertaking - involving all facets of sea kayaking over a distance of roughly 2200 miles; though many
have attempted this challenge only a relatively small number have completed the
full circumnavigation (details).
No
doubt some will expect me to aim for the record but I am well aware that the
weather will have a much greater bearing on the outcome than anything I can possibly do!
Others have already told of their goal to beat the record; I am happy just to
set out with the aim to safely complete the distance and hopefully enjoy at
least a few of the legs on the way around!
As to the 80 day record, well let’s
just see how that one pans out...
